3PL Operations Manager

About the Role

TLM International Freight Services is looking for a highly motivated 3PL Operations Manager who will be responsible for daily 3PL operations and leadership of customer service teams as well a team of 50 people of across two warehouses.

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive understanding of the 3PL Industry including fulfilment of highly specific tasks such as cross-stuffing, cross-docking, picking, repacking, crating, lashing etc.

  • Knowledge of warehousing best practices for Third Party Logistics in Jebel Ali Free Zone

  • Outstanding organizational and man management abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day 3PL operations of the business by leading customer service and warehouse teams while managing relationships with multiple clients

  • Manage and drive the team to fulfil client requirements; develop good relationship with customers to ensure high customer service levels are always maintained

  • Obtain SOPs from the customers, follow them & meet customer KPIs

  • Plan daily and weekly schedules with warehouse supervisors for all inbound & outbound, cross stuffing, repacking & other value added services

  • Efficient cost management of the warehouse

  • Responsible for resolving daily operational issues.

  • Set bench mark for various warehouse activities, implementing and monitoring it.

  • Lead process improvement and technology adoption initiatives

  • Training & Development be responsible for implementing change and/or developing new processes as required to provide ability to better service TLM  customers, reduce cost to serve and improve contribution

  • Prepare agreed management reports, daily, weekly or as required by the management

  • Set/clarify requirements and expectations for various levels of warehouse teammembers

  • To drive a customer-focused culture within the operations department by implementing and managing initiatives and tools that aim to achieve customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention through delivery of excellent service levels.

  • Manage and troubleshoot problems with WMS to ensure the operations in distribution centres flow continuously and respond to any errors accordingly and in time

  • Implement Security and Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) policies and procedures to ensure that quality standards & requirements in the distribution centre are complied with

  • Elevate potential problems and opportunities for improvement to management

  • Ensure that staff productivity standards are met

  • Ensure that employees are guided, supported and trained daily; organise structured on the job trainings

  • Human resource recruitment, shift, and leave planning for the warehouse operations working closely HR teams
