Warehouse Operations Supervisor

About the Role

TLM International Freight Services is a Third Party Logistics provider in the Jebel Ali Free Zone. TLM IFS is looking for a motivated Warehouse Supervisor who will be responsible for successful execution of 3PL warehouse operations and man management of 60+ team members.

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive understanding of the 3PL Industry including fulfilment of highly specific tasks such as cross-stuffing, cross-docking, picking, repacking, crating, lashing etc.

  • Knowledge of warehousing best practices for Third Party Logistics in Jebel Ali Free Zone

  • Outstanding organizational and man management abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes

  • Familiarity using Excel and Warehouse Management software

  • Fluent in English and Hindi

  • 4-6 years industry experience preferred in JAFZA

Role Responsibilities

  • Organize and direct operations’ workflow and job responsibilities within the warehouse to ensure effective management of the receipt, storage, picking, packing, loading, and shipping of products to customers. 

  • Maintain records of inventory and location for control and cost accounting to ensure adherence to TLM warehouse and distribution procedures 

  • Conduct inventory control through cyclical stock counts to maintain stock integrity and ensure that financial stock takes are conducted according to client contracts 

  • Co-ordinate with internal customs department to ensure custom clearance procedures are compiled and legal requirements are met 

  • Generate pick sheets for outbound shipments; ensures that the correct items are picked and packed as per customer requirements and category of goods 

  • Generate ASN for inbound shipments and ensures the items are verified and put away to the correct locations 

  • Manage and improve workflow processes and team efficiency in all tasks 

  • Assist the HR department with feedback for leave / shift planning as well as with employee performance reviews to identify talents among team and create successors 

  • Develop good relationship with customers to ensure high customer service levels are always maintained 

  • Manages and troubleshoot problems with WMS to ensure the operations in distribution centres flow continuously and respond to any errors accordingly and in time 

  • Implements Security and Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) policies and procedures to ensure that quality standards & requirements in the distribution centre are complied with 

  • Elevate potential problems and opportunities for improvement to Operations Team 

  • Ensures that expected staff productivity standards are met 

  • Ensures that employees are guided, supported and trained daily; organises structured on the job trainings
